Tin Dog Brewing Anniversary @ Tin Dog Brewing
Feb 22 @ 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Tin Dog Brewing is adding blendery to their identity. After all, we have quietly been a blendery since 2016.

We are not just one of 85 breweries in Seattle, we are 1 of 1 blendery as well.

We are not changing our name but making public our focus on blending. This serves two purposes: one is to educate the public on what a blendery is, and the other is to stand out as unique in a crowded field of breweries.

Come find out what our blendery side is all about during our 6th Anniversary. We will have tours of the blendery side of things, including our coolship!

We’ll also have:

  • Charcuterie by Salt Blade Meats
  • Sheep Cheese by Glendale Shepherd
  • Traditional Jazz Trio Tres Steve’s
  • Special Blended Sour Beer Release
  • Flights of Blended Sours Past and Present

Hope you can make it to our new identity party!

Benefit cider sales @ South Lincoln Park/Fauntleroy ferry line
Feb 28 @ 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm

To raise money and support Immigrant Families Together, students and parents from the Taproot School have been selling lemonade (summer) and Hot Cider (by donation) to ferry travelers and park goers since school began in September. They gather in front of the southern Lincoln Park parking lot, with mobile sellers to catch those in line. All proceeds go to Immigrant Families Together and all supplies have been donated or created by the students and families.

So far this year, the Taproot school sold lemonade for the cause, raising $1,000 from generous West Seattle/Vashon/Southworth travellers in August and $546 from Hot Cider in October. There was a smaller crew in December who raised over $100 during the holiday break. Our enthusiasm continues as we have now organized for a regular series of Hot Cider/Lemonade sales to keep this incredible organization and cause top of mind. We are hoping the warm cider and excited kids will continue to raise awareness, spirits and funds and encourage people to turn out to support the school’s efforts.

What: Hot Cider Stand (mobile and stationary) – (Lemonade in warmer months)
Where: Based out of the South Lincoln Park Parking Lot
When:
Friday, January 24

Immigrant Families Together is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organization working to keep families together by providing bond money for parents, legal services, safe housing, clothing, food, cellphones among other vital services to help families have the best possible chance at receiving asylum. For more information about how to help immigrant families stay together or to donate directly, please go (here).

Free Improv Meetup @ Fauntleroy Schoolhouse
Mar 23 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

At this event, we practice skills that help us be present and connect with each other while playing out hilarious games and scenes. Maybe you’ve never taken an improv class and are curious to try it out, or maybe you love improv and want to jam with new folks. I’ve received feedback that I do improv a little differently. I invite you to engage your whole self, rather than only your mind and voice, and we practice engaging our senses in the space often. I endeavor to take you on a journey exploring a specific improv principal. No experience is necessary, just come with an openness to explore and a willingness to play. This class is free and I would gladly accept donations to help pay for the room. Suggested $10.

Suggestions to make you more comfortable in the space:
Wear layers (we move around a lot and the heat is either on or off in this old schoolhouse)
Bring a water bottle (there is a sink to refill)
Wear comfortable clothes/shoes (we don’t sit much!)

Free Improv Meetup @ Fauntleroy Schoolhouse
Apr 20 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Benefit cider sales @ South Lincoln Park/Fauntleroy ferry line
Apr 24 @ 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm

Who: Taproot School Students & Families
What: Hot Cider Stand (mobile and stationary) – (Lemonade in warmer months)
Where: Based out of the South Lincoln Park Parking Lot
When:
Friday, January 24
Friday, February 28
Friday, March 28
Friday, April 24
Friday, May 23
Friday, June 27
Why: To raise funds to donate to Immigrant Families Together
Call to Action: We encourage West Seattle/Vashon/Southworth ferry travelers and Lincoln Park goers to support out students in raising money for Immigrant Families Together.
