By buying Ethical Trade, you support the efforts of skilled farmers and artisans, empower communities, and affirm the dignity of the workers. It’s that time of year again!! We are so excited for our Gobble Gobble Thanksgiving Group Run tradition. We think this is the 10th annual! Where has the time gone? Running, that’s where! We will meet between the Statue and the Washington monument under the shelter there (between 61st and 62nd Ave) like last year. Bring food donations for the West Seattle Food Bank. You can go whatever distance you would like; feel free to run, walk, run/walk and bring the kids, dogs and family. This is a low key group run, not a race!

Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes Catering will host its 21st annual festive community Thanksgiving meal on Thursday, November 28, noon – 3 pm in The Hall @ Fauntleroy. Winter Wander Along Longfellow Creek at Camp Long.

Longfellow Creek is a major waterway in West Seattle. It is also a little piece of the wild in the middle of the city. Coho salmon migrate up this waterway; beavers build dams and lodges on this creek; owls hunt for food along this artery. Explore a portion of this urban wilderness with a Seattle Urban Nature Guide. Look for seasonal changes and get to know some of your wild neighbors.

Be prepared to do some hiking over uneven terrain on this program.

Ages 6 and older. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Everyone attending the program must be registered.
