These two ensembles have performed extensively throughout the Northwest, but this collaboration—an all-gospel show— is a first.

Kathy Kallick’s exceptional career includes winning a Grammy and two IBMA Awards, receiving a Lifetime Membership from the California Bluegrass Association, co-founding the internationally-acclaimed Good Ol’ Persons, and collaborating with the country’s top acoustic musicians, including her mighty current band Annie Staninec (fiddle), Greg Booth (dobro, banjo), Tom Bekeny (mandolin), and Cary Black (acoustic bass), all of whom provide sterling harmony vocals.

Cliff Perry and Laurel Bliss began as a singing due more than thirty years ago, and are now recognized as the most important contemporary interpreters of the songs of the Carter Family. Together they formed the heart of Southfork, a legendary Northwest bluegrass band, and they continue to sing with the compelling sincerity of classic country music, playing soulful dobro and guitar that support their powerful vocals.

Twelfth Night Productions’ ‘Love Letters’ @ Kenyon Hall
Feb 14 @ 7:30 pm

Mary and Rick Springer in Love Letters, by A. R. Gurney
The Springers are the creators of Twelfth Night Productions, now in its twenty-fifth year. The duo performed Love Letters a few years ago under T.N.P.’s auspices, and we’re delighted that they’re reprising their performance at Kenyon Hall for Valentine’s Day.

The play is comprised of letters exchanged over a lifetime between two people who grew up together, went their separate ways, but continued to share confidences. As the actors read the letters aloud, what is created is an evocative, touching, frequently funny, but always telling pair of character studies in which what is implied is as revealing and meaningful as what is actually written down.

Front reserved table seats are $14. Row seating is $12 general and $10 seniors. With a reservation, row seating is only $10 general and $8 seniors. Elementary, middle, and high school students are $5. Pre-school children are free.

We accept cash and checks at the door, and doors open thirty minutes before each show.

To make a reservation, please e-mail kenyonhall@earthlink.net. You’ll receive an e-mail confirming your reservation.

‘Love’ silent film with Dennis James on the mighty Wurlitzer @ Kenyon Hall
Feb 16 @ 7:30 pm

Wrapping up our Valentine’s weekend, our favorite organist is back to present Greta Garbo and John Gilbert in Love, a grand, over-the-top operatic scale silent film. It’s a modified version of Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina story, but in this one Anna lives!

It was retitled to capitalize on the fact that Greta and John were having a torrid affair, and the publicist had a field day displaying on theatre marquees: GRETA GARBO AND JOHN GILBERT IN LOVE. It worked, and the film was a big hit.

Reserved table seats are $14, and row seating is $12 general and $10 seniors. With a reservation, row seating is only $10 general and $8 seniors. (Table seats are not discounted.) Elementary, middle & high school students are $5.

To make a reservation, please e-mail kenyonhall@earthlink.net with your request. You’ll receive an e-mail confirming your reservation. For complete program information, please visit www.kenyonhall.org.

Free Improv Meetup @ Fauntleroy Schoolhouse
Feb 17 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

At this event, we practice skills that help us be present and connect with each other while playing out hilarious games and scenes. Maybe you’ve never taken an improv class and are curious to try it out, or maybe you love improv and want to jam with new folks. I’ve received feedback that I do improv a little differently. I invite you to engage your whole self, rather than only your mind and voice, and we practice engaging our senses in the space often. I endeavor to take you on a journey exploring a specific improv principal. No experience is necessary, just come with an openness to explore and a willingness to play. This class is free and I would gladly accept donations to help pay for the room. Suggested $10.

Suggestions to make you more comfortable in the space:
Wear layers (we move around a lot and the heat is either on or off in this old schoolhouse)
Bring a water bottle (there is a sink to refill)
Wear comfortable clothes/shoes (we don’t sit much!)
