ADMIRAL THEATER SCHEDULE (updated link)
Looking for a way to give back to your neighbors in need? Participate in the Bringing Warmth coat and blanket drive on Sunday, December 15 at Good Day Donuts in White Center.
Emily Un, a high school senior in West Seattle, organized the drive because of her mother’s personal connection with homelessness, as well as her hope to give back to people in need of keeping warm during these cold months ahead. “I believe many of us don’t realize how much we have in life and that we can give so much back to the people that need it so much more!” explains Emily.
December 15, 2019 | 10am – 1pm
Good Day Donuts | 9823 15th Ave SW, Seattle WA 98106

Duwamish Longhouse and Cultural Center

Opened in 2009, the Longhouse is a traditional cedar post and beam structure designed in the Puget Salish Longhouse style. It houses a Native Art Gallery, Duwamish History Museum, Gift Shop, Duwamish Tribal Offices, and traditional Longhouse. As in ancient times, Longhouse is the site where tribal business is conducted and cultural & educational events are held. It is the first Duwamish Longhouse built since the last one was burned down in West Seattle in 1894 to push the Duwamish off their land. In 1851, there were over 90 Duwamish Longhouses.

At Tinkergarten, families meet outdoors to connect and learn through play. In this free trial class, Tinkergarten Leader, Alison Arnote, will facilitate an expert-designed play scenario, allowing children of various ages and needs to explore, problem solve, communicate, collaborate, and create together. Parents and caregivers learn, too, as we share insight into your child’s development.
This trial class is:
- Designed for children ages 18 months-8 years. Child/children are accompanied by an adult. Siblings of any other age are most welcome.
- Limited to the first 15 families who register.
Kids may get a bit messy (Hurrah!), so please send them in clothing that can get dirty.
We start the class at the specified location but may end within a reasonable walk from that location.
This trial class is free.
