Learn about drugs and alcohol and the teen brain and talking with teens about vaping
Join two special guest presenters and other Madison families to explore these questions and more at Madison’s second Parent Education Night of the school year. Parent Ed Night will take place on Thursday, January 30th at 6:30pm in the Madison library. Parent educator, Yvonne-Monique (Zick) Aviva will speak about how drugs and alcohol impact the teen brain. Special guest Lisa Davidson, Seattle Public Schools Manager of Prevention and Intervention, will talk about vaping and how to talk to your kids about it.
West Seattle Children and Youth Collective invites you to join us for Great Conversations Between Parents and Teens: Top Ten Talks to Have Together.
This gathering is for parents of middle school and high school students and focuses on important conversations to consider having with teens to promote understanding and build a base of trust partnership.
The featured speaker is Julie Metzger, the founder of Great Conversations.
