Virtual Workshop: Building Your Social Network Through LinkedIn @ Online (see listing)

You have taken the time to build an amazing LinkedIn Profile with a great photo, your resume, skills and interests. Registration required. Click here to register.

This workshop will discuss some of the many ways you can utilize LinkedIn to connect with previous co-workers, alumni and employers and jump-start your path towards a career. We will cover topics such as how Linked in connections work, gaining endorsements, and ways to generate traffic to your profile.

The job skills, life skills, & digital creativity classes are made possible by support from The Seattle Public Library Foundation, and in partnership with South Seattle College. This workshop is free and everyone is welcome. Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is required. Each class has limited capacity, so please register as soon as possible.

El olvido que seremos es su biografía novelada, escrita por su propio hijo. Un relato desgarrador y emocionante sobre la familia, que refleja, al tiempo, el infierno de la violencia que ha golpeado Colombia en los últimos cincuenta años. La novella ha sido ganadora del Premio WOLA-Duke en Derechos Humanos en Estados Unidos y del Prémio Criaçao Literária Casa da America Latina de Portugal.

Then make plans now to join this four-week guided reading on Zoom led by Pastor Ron Marshall — who’s been teaching this class four times a year since 2003. The $20 registration fee includes mailing to you an authorized translation of the Koran for your keeping. Worksheets will be provided for each class session. Learn dances featured in films from India – the largest moviemaking capital in the world. Bollywood is the Hindi-language sector of the Indian movingmaking industry. Traditional Bollywood dancing has been heavily influenced by Asian culture, Hindu art, music, and culture. Today Bollywood music and dancing is also influenced by other cultures and forms of dance including salsa and hip-hop. Join us for a fun class where we’ll dance to Bollywood hit songs from different eras and learn about the inspiration behind the songs.
