MONSTER RUMMAGE SALE WITH LOADS OF VINTAGE AWESOMENESS

Westside Unitarian Universalist Church is holding another of its legendary Monster Rummage Sales this weekend Saturday, August 25, from 9 am – 3 pm, and Sunday, August 26, 9 am – 2 pm, featuring our monster mascot, Frogsquatch. Is he a frog? Is he a sasquatch? No, he’s Frogsquatch!

This is a rummage sale you want to fit into your busy summer weekend! We have fantastic theme tables, including “Grandma Chic”, “Retro Groovy”, and the ever-popular “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot” table, which is unforgetable and hilarious. We promise – this is the wittiest, weirdest, most eclectic rummage sale in the greater Seattle area.

Furthermore, we received a large donation from the estate of a woman who traveled the world extensively as a young woman and saved EVERYTHING. We’ve got mid-century Modernist housewares and dishes, we’ve got crazy strange vintage clothing – we even have a vintage Oleg Cassini hat from the early 1960’s! So many treasures, I can’t list them all here. I’ll say this, though: if you are a drag queen with an early 1960’s vibe to your act, you want to see some of these clothes and hats! Entire pantsuits, polyester madness, hats made from skinned Muppets, and all in fantastic condition. There’s also some super-cut Mad Men-era dresses. We don’t normally feature clothing, but this stuff was too fantastic to pass up.

Some of this stuff hasn’t seen daylight since some time in the 1970’s. If you collect early to mid 1900’s housewares, you need to see this stuff. It’s amazing. Did I mention the gorgeous Italian mirrors from the 1920’s? Or the super-interesting unusual chairs and furniture? Or the old, fully functioning collectible electronics?

Lastly, this is a great opportunity to get all your Christmas shopping done super early. We have tables of beautiful housewares and gift items in pristine mint condition and all at very reasonable prices for such treasures and great finds. Great books, as well, and a fine selection of toys and useful things.
