The West Seattle Transportation Coalition meetings are held at Neighborhood House High Point, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on the fourth Thursday of most months. (6400 Sylvan Way SW, Room 207B (enter from the rear plaza).

Tear it down? Do the progressive, environmentally responsible thing with long range improvement in your carbon footprint instead of your personal convenience. West Seattle should become a remote workers neighborhood. To repair or rebuild is missing an opportunity to do our direct part in decreasing global warming by instituting long range change. This might even fit the Green New Deal approach. It is certainly a matter of stewardship. Then tear down Magnolia bridge, too. I will guess Seattle does not think that far outside the box of its own comfort zone. And environmental platitudes….for others…will continue. The renters and workers leaving West Seattle as it becomes a parking lot, will be readily replaced by just as capable rent and mortgage payers who just by living here, do an environment good. Commuters don’t.
