Calling all forest habitat heroes! Join Nature Consortium on September 20th, 10 am to 2 pm for a special volunteer event as part of United Way’s Day of Caring. Every year, United Way matches local companies with opportunities to give back to their communities. Spend your Day of Caring with us and help restore important habitat in Seattle’s largest remaining forest, the West Duwamish Greenbelt.

Volunteers will help remove invasive weeds to prepare the area for planting on Green Seattle Day November 2nd. Tools, gloves, training, and live music will be provided. Individuals can sign up directly on our website <http://www.naturec.org/volunteer/> – corporate groups and groups of 10 or more should email Lili Allala at lili@naturec.org to register.

Bonus: Donate to Nature Consortium during Day of Caring and Jack Johnson will match your gift, up to a total of $2,500. And if your employer matches your giving, you can even triple your gift to support local habitat.

See you in the woods!
