Join us for a preview lecture of Seattle Opera’s upcoming production of Donizetti’s “The Daughter of the Regiment” Monday October 7th, 6:30–7:30 pm at West Seattle (Admiral) Library. Seattle Opera educators will present an hour-long, engaging multimedia lecture that covers the basics of the opera’s history, music and stagecraft.

Donizetti’s lively and graceful comedy sparkles with high notes as two young lovers break down social barriers between polite society and the military. The score includes exhilarating showcase arias, ensemble pieces and a healthy dose of musical parody.

Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required.
