At the Southwest Library Branch: Learn about the science and history of robots and build your own rover.

Explore the history of robotics, highlighting some of the achievements of robots in the world of games, especially the RoboCup, the DARPA Robotics Challenge, and Robot-Sumo. Then work in teams to create a robot that can survive and triumph in the robo-ring with educators from the Museum of Flight. For teens ages 13 and up.

This program is part of this year’s Summer of Learning program Splash! Adventures with Water, which encourages reading and activities around science, technology, technology, arts and math. We are offering over 250 free youth programs throughout the city this summer. You can pick up a Summer Action Guide at any Library location.

Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required.

Space is limited at library events. Please come early to make sure you get a seat. Due to the fire code, we can’t exceed the maximum capacity for our rooms.
