Team Go For It! is holding our final fundraising event – a plant sale – on Saturday, June 1 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. ALL of the proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. We have tomatoes – all varieties – $2.00, plus flowering annuals and perennials. Garage sale Saturday, June 1 from 10 am to 4 pm to benefit the American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay for Life of West Seattle Team Go For It! 100% of our proceeds from Saturday will go to ACS. We have tons of infant and toddler clothes, plus toys, books, household items, furniture, crafts, home décor, holiday decorations, clothes and more. Come and visit us at 2352 47th Ave SW in the alley between 46th and 47th Avenues on Admiral Way.

The sale is in the alley behind 2352 47th Avenue SW (on the north side of Admiral Way) in West Seattle. We will also have handmade and painted plant sticks, decorative bird houses, gardening books and other
assorted gardening items. Make your yard beautiful and help raise money for cancer research at the same time.

The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of West Seattle will begin at 2 pm on Friday, June 29 and end at about 8 am on Saturday, June 30 at the West Seattle Stadium. The lighting of the luminaria ceremony will be at 10 pm Friday night. A luminaria is a white sack that has been decorated and personalized to honor a family member, a co-worker or a friend who is battling cancer or lost their battle with cancer. The luminaria will be lit up and line the track around the stadium and glow through the night as the teams walk the track for 18 straight hours.

Denise Parrish will be at the plant sale and will take orders and a donation for a hand-drawn and colored luminaria that she will personalize for you. Denise’s beautiful luminaria made both the front page as well as the middle section of the West Seattle Herald in 2011.
