Autumn Wine Release and Sale – Award-winning, student-produced wines featured
Find the perfect wine to complement to your holiday meals at the Northwest Wine Academy’s Fall release event. Enjoy wine tasting and light hors d’oeuvres, while perusing a wide selection of wine-themed gift baskets.

The Northwest Wine Academy will be releasing two red wines: their 2011 Mourvedre and 2011 Nebbiolo, along with one white wine, their 2011 Chardonnay. In addition, their 2011 Rose will be offered at half price.

There will also be an opportunity to purchase four different Syrahs individually, which were originally only available as a four pack: the 2009 Phelps Clone Syrah, 2009 Tablas Creek Syrah, 2009 Clone 7 Syrah, and 2009 3 Clones Blend Syrah, which is an equal blend of Phelps, Tablas Creek, and Clone 7 Syrahs.

South Seattle Community College’s Northwest Wine Academy is a first-of-its-kind program in Western Washington and offers three certificate programs – Wine Making, Wine Marketing & Sales, and Food & Wine Pairing. The Academy complements the college’s highly regarded and award-winning Culinary Arts program and the new bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management program.

The event is free and open to the public. The Northwest Wine Academy is located on the South Seattle Community College campus across from Bernie’s restaurant. Parking is available in the North entry parking lot.
