We are gathering together to help raise funds for a new community acupuncture school: POCA Tech. Come and enjoy a low-key evening of education and camaraderie as we eat, drink, and discuss all things acupuncture. (Facebook event page here.)

Local community acupuncturists will be on hand to answer questions and dispel myths about acupuncture. Learn about the community acupuncture method, why it works, and how it is already changing the world. Join POCA (the People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture) and receive acupuncture discounts and coupons, as well as the knowledge that you are supporting healthcare for all!!

POCA Tech will:

-End the cycle of student debt (currently most acupuncture schools are for profit and cost over $80,000). Projected ANNUAL tuition at POCA Tech is just $6,000.

-Train aspiring acupuncturists to work within the very specific challenges of a community clinic setting.

-Make it possible for more patients to receive healthcare based on need rather than financial ability, while also providing a sustainable “social business” model for aspiring acupuncturists.

-Make it financially possible for patients to receive ongoing acupuncture treatment at the outset, a necessary component of most treatment plans.

-And last but not least: build a rock solid healing community!
