Public: Hosted by April Troka

Friday, July 12, 2019 at 8 PM

Alki Beach Park at Statue of Liberty

Vigils are joining together across the world in honor of the children and their families affected by the atrocities at the U.S. Southern Border.

Bring your light! Let it shine!

***Please note our West Seattle vigil will be using artificial lights only, open flames are not permitted*** If you can bring your own light, great! If you have any lights to donate and share with others it is appreciated. Just bring your light donations night of event to the light donation drop off at the Statue of Liberty.

Examples of light ideas: glow sticks, flashlights, solar torches, camping lanterns, flame apps for smart phones, luminaries, battery/LED operated string lights, tea/vigil and pillar style lights. Be creative and join the constellation. See you then.

Is there some kind of a flyer for this event that I can distribute at my church and other places?

Hi Gyngersnap,  I will tell April to check this out and let you know.  I do think April has some flyers that she is going to post.  Hope to see you there.

I am so confused about this event. Why is there no Facebook event page? Is this going to be well attended? Should I go to the Occidental Park event instead?

How late will this run? I am working and can’t be there at 8 pm.
