Come to the West Seattle Library at 6:30 pm on July 31st to participate in the community meeting for Lafayette Elementary’s Playground Improvement Project. More from the organizers:

This meeting will start with an overview of the project scope and goals. There will then be a presentation about green schoolyards and how the transformation of an existing asphalt dominated playground into an ecological schoolyard can affect the learning experience.
The meeting will finish with a community comment session. The community will have the opportunity to suggest program elements to be included in the project plan.

More meetings in the next steps of the plan will follow on August 23rd and September 6th.
