Boy Scout Troop 360 (Lake Burien Presbyterian Church) is hosting this great family event. Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops, and other community groups from across the region, are coming together to offer a haunted hike this Saturday, October 13, for all kids and their families in the West Seattle area. The cost is $2 per person. There will be Halloween-themed displays and activities along the trails throughout this beautiful, forested park.

Everyone should bring a flashlight to help as they walk from display to display because the trails can be very dark. There will also be Halloween treats available at many of the displays. Roasting monkey brains that strangely look a lot like marshmallows will occur as well. The kids will have lots of fun, and this event is a great way to learn more about the many Scouting youth programs that are available to families in the area.

And the rumors that a 10-foot tall T-Rex skeleton will be roving the park in search of Cub Scouts to eat may be true. But our hero Boy Scouts, using spears, will be protecting all kids from this largest carnivore in King County. Listen for the roaring as you start your hike.
