Calling all forest habitat heroes! Join Nature Consortium on November 2nd for a special volunteer event as part of Green Seattle Day. Meet new friends and help restore important habitat in Seattle’s largest remaining forest. Without a coordinated effort, Seattle is at risk of losing 70% of its forests in just 20 years. Green Seattle Day is a celebration of Seattle’s 2500 acres of forested parks and the committed neighbors who care for them. The West Duwamish Greenbelt is the hub site for this event.

Volunteers will remove invasive weeds, plant native trees and shrubs, and spread weed-stopping mulch. Tools, gloves, training, and live music will be provided. Individuals can sign up today on our website www.naturec.org/volunteer/ – corporate groups and groups of 10 or more
should email Lili Allala at lili@naturec.org to register. See you in the woods!
