What’s the best thing to do during Seattle’s rainy season…volunteer outside! The rainy season is the best time to plant native trees and shrubs to help your neighborhood forests and salmon streams thrive!
Did you know West Seattle’s Longfellow Creek Greenspace is home to the second largest salmon-bearing stream in the city? Healthy forests filter rain water and provide shade and nutrients for salmon streams.
Volunteer and improve the health of West Seattle’s forests with EarthCorps, Seattle Parks, and the King Conservation District for Duwamish Alive this Fall!
When: October 20th
Where: Camp Long and Longfellow CreekCelebrate the rain with us! For more information and to sign up visit: www.earthcorps.org/volunteer. (Rain not 100% guaranteed).
