Connect with nature, be a citizen scientist, and find friends who share your interests at Bug Club. Service Learning credit is available for participation.

During this week long program youths ages 11-14 will go outside every day to discover and document the diversity of insects in the neighborhood. Youths will join a growing community of citizen scientists and help further research into arthropods and their habitats. We’ll also have a lot of fun! Service learning credit is available for participation. For ages 11-14.

This program is part of this year’s Summer of Learning program Explore Your World!, which encourages reading and activities around science, technology, technology, arts and math. We are offering over 250 free youth programs throughout the city this summer. You can pick up a Summer Action Guide at any Library location beginning June 24th.

Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is required. Online registration for this program opens two weeks before the program starts and closes three business days before the program date. Make changes to your registration after that date by calling 206-684-7454 or visiting the branch.

The 2019 Summer of Learning program, Explore Your World!, is funded by generous support from The Seattle Public Library Foundation.
