At the Southwest library: Snap your fingers and clap your coconuts alongside the funny Canadian duo Khac Chi as they play folk songs and dances from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam.

Vancouver, Canada-based Khac Chi Bamboo Music is a charming, funny and energetic duo that has won the hearts of audiences in 25 countries. This dynamic pair has performed at children’s festivals across Canada and the US and their program fuses education and humor with a dose of audience participation in a unique world-music performance. For all ages.

This program is part of this year’s Summer of Learning program Splash! Adventures with Water, which encourages reading and activities around science, technology, technology, arts and math. We are offering over 250 free youth programs throughout the city this summer. You can pick up a Summer Action Guide at any Library location.

Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required.

Space is limited at library events. Please come early to make sure you get a seat. Due to the fire code, we can’t exceed the maximum capacity for our rooms.
