Update: Police serve drug warrant at High Point home; helicopter assistance earlier

8:32 PM: On the way home from a meeting, we have spotted Guardian One circling north of High Point. Not sure yet what’s going on, but we’re checking.

8:40 PM: One commenter reports what appears to be a search in High Point.

8:45 PM: Tweet from Guardian One confirms it.

9:18 PM: Found the house on which police had converged, along SW Juneau a couple blocks east of 35th; added a photo. Commenter “Soul Cat“ adds some context.

9:33 PM: New information via WSB’s Christopher Boffoli and Katie Meyer: Christopher confirmed at the scene that it was a narcotics warrant – adding his images shortly. Katie reports that scanner traffic indicated at least two people in custody.

I live a block away. It’s a search of a home. The cops pulled up and said “If you are inside the home at 32XX S Junea, this is the Seattle Police, we are executing a search warrant of the home.”

We live right in front of a house that was just busted by about 20 Seattle Police and I’m assuming that is what the helicopter is from. We’re at Juneau and 34th av sw and it’s right behind us.
It’s a known drug house and we’ve had neighborhood meetings with the SPD on what to do about it but they have had trouble getting them to sell to one of their people. They occupants are being led out in hand cuff right now so I’m hoping a 3 year ordeal might be coming to an
end. One of the occupants of the house ran into a neighbors house and the SPD arrested him there. It’s dying down right now. Thanks to the Seattle Police Dept.

They are still interviewing occupants at the site and some have been led away in handcuffs.

It is not a Highpoint home that was raided. It’s a couple blocks up from Highpoint, but not in Highpoint. Just saying.

Yes, there are pretty much no official borders, and the city map has some weirdness, and we have discussed boundaries here over and over – for our purposes covering West Seattle news, Juneau *is* in High Point, and I’ve never heard/seen anyone dispute that before. It’s more than weird. They are changing the boundaries. If there ever were boundaries. I spent the first 20 years or so of my life just a block south of Myrtle which is now included in High Point by that map. It wasn’t that way then. High Point ended at Myrtle, and everyone considered High Point to be only the public assisted housing and not beyond that in any direction. At that time if one lived in High Point, it meant they lived in the multiplexes of the public housing authority.

We were considered to be in Olympic Heights, which was the name of the drug store and shopping area at 35th and Webster.

its kinda funny to see my neighbors fighting over boundaries and lines who gives a sh*t what neighborhood its in!! it could be alki,whitecenter or the junction!! at least its one less drug house closed up in our west seattle neighborhoods!! and be thankful the police and your neighbors are helping you get this done!! if you are in denial and think this isn’t happening in your neighborhood well it is and your fighting over these stupid same imaginary boundaries and neighborhoods that the wannabe gangbangers /drug dealers are fighting over!!
it dont matter if you live east of 35th or west of 35th its one west seattle and you dont have to be rich or poor to be in a gang or be a drug dealer it could be your neighbor????? stop with the gentrification thats fu**ing up this city up!!! and unite the community not divide it!!

This kid is right^ this is not a drug house, it is a needle exchange used for helping addicts stay clean and keep needles out of reach of children. This house is now made out to look like a crime spot but actualy it was helping the community more than most houses in the Seattle area. For those of you that don’t know it’s actually a way to help prevent HIV i, staff, and Hepatitis C Throughtout the drug using community. in order to receive noodles from this place a person has to bring all of their dirty needles back and exchange them for clean Ones, riding the community of dirty thrown out Needles.

Whenever I’d go on an evening walk, I thought it was weird their would always be open. If they do sell the house, it has a pretty good view. At least from the street level.

With all due respect I find it very interesting the comment regarding the home being used for needle exchanges etc. Sounds real nice keeping the community safe however if that is the case I would like it located in the business district than a residental neighborhood. That way they could be monitored and kept compliant in what their purpose is. Like that would ever happen. Seems kind of funny that this good community service has the SPD bearing down on them with warrants and a person or two in custody. As a home owner this is the last situation I would want to live next to. I am sure when the time came to sell my home people would be knocking down the door to make the sale.

If this was in fact a needle exchange house, it comes as a surprise to the neighborhood, And the SPD.
And it’s been pretty well established that they were also selling what was going in the needles.
And until you can prov e this assertion, I’ll keep on believing it’s a house that sells Meth and other illegal drugs for profit.
