UPDATE: Brief eastbound shutdown for Fauntleroy entrance to West Seattle Bridge

2:33 PM: If you’re headed toward the eastbound bridge’s Fauntleroy entrance – hold off a bit. It’s temporarily closed for yet another barrier reset.

2:38 PM: It was a very quick shutdown – they actually allowed drivers to entry but stopped them by the curve – and now (verified by live camera) it’s over.

SDOT or WSDOT cameras should be fixed on that curve, so cameras can see/get license plates, and every car who hits it should be paying the government back for all costs associated with realigning or replacing moved or broken center barrier components. Including parts, employee time and overtime. Yeesh. We all pay for other people causing this harm then driving off and sticking us all with the fun new costs.

We all pay for things we might not like.  How are you so certain drivers aren’t paying some or all of the repair costs?

Yes, I would love cameras pointing at this section , I would love to watch and any historical footage while I eat my popcorn.  I have lived in west Seattle 34 years and I have never see all this stupid.  The gun violence a d car accidents are out of control.  I believe it still says it is a privilege to drive a vehicle?

Sorry, comment time is over.
