Around 8pm off Restoration point from Constellation park 3 humpbacks, lots of breaches. Pretty spectacular!
These whales were so cool to see! Is there a place to report when boats are chasing the whales/following too close? There was a boat that followed these whales closely for about 20-30 minutes.
You can call the hotline to report. Be sure to get documentation because nobody actually comes out. Your call is routed to someone who is usually out of state. Get pictures and video and boat numbers. Otherwise not much is going to happen. +18008531964. You can also sign up for my text alert system for whales and wildlife here👇 real time notifications. You can also report things to me through that avenue as well
To follow up to my comment above, It is ALWAYS good to report, regardless of the frustration. We are compiling lists of these here in central and south sound to prove it’s happening, a lot; especially repeat offenders and especially egregious behaviors. Also each time you call it let’s NOAA know there are issues in central and south sound, and a need for enforcement.
Sorry, comment time is over.
