Thanks to Chau for the photo and tip – the international tea chain Happy Lemon has soft-opened its new shop at Westwood Village. Only 2 1/2 months – shorter than the usual new-business timeline – have passed since we first reported that Happy Lemon was on the way to the space vacated by Vatsana’s Thai. Posted hours are 11 am to 9 pm, seven days a week.
For the people who don’t know what this is, it’s a bubble tea / waffle dessert place.
I just walked by Happy Lemon a few minutes ago and the line was out the door. I also walked by the future Five Guys. It looks like construction is underway. I saw the doors open with a few workers and a big truck out front. It was nice to see all of this activity.
Thanks for the Five Guys mention; we noted the building permit had been granted but haven’t had the time to do a Westwood drive-through check for a few days.
