READER REPORT: Springsteen show spotlights West Seattle Food Bank again

Readers at tonight’s Bruce Springsteen concert at Climate Pledge Arena report The Boss showed some love to the West Seattle Food Bank again, as he did six years ago. A texter says the WSFB got a shoutout from the stage at the end and a pitch to donate – if you weren’t there but want to help anyway, here’s how! We’ll check in with WSFB in the morning to find out more.

This is why Bruce is Bruce.  He brings integrity and decency to all he does.  I was thrilled last night when he took a quiet moment to call out for help to WSFB.  Doing “God’s work” indeed.

That show was one for the ages. The energy of someone half his age, and younger yet. Wonderful mix of songs. Old, new, in between. Lots of horns. Pricey but in hindsight I would have paid a lot more. He’s been a staple of my life since the 80s. A constant. Was giddy to hear him represent west Seattle of course

Bruce Springsteen routinely uses his position for positive impact in society.  It is one of his greatest instincts and gifts.  It was a privilege to have him support our agency last night, as he does for similar organizations wherever he tours and which he has done for us twice previously.  And, yes, amazing show last night, and awesome soundtrack for life, starting with Greetings in the ‘70s!
