Texter reported a lot of black smoke from the north end of Vashon Island, so we looked into it, and found out there’s a house-fire response in the 10700 block of SW 111th Place [vicinity map]. No further information so far.

Happened in our neighborhood. There was an explosion and the house went up in flames – complete loss. No one hurt.
Yes, I live close to this but up the hill, I was driving down to my house when I saw billowing black smoke, drove right next to tge house engulfed in flames when something exploded. Called 911. So sad, day after Thanksgiving.
Thank you for the updates. I have no access to official info on this, only the tweets that confirmed the dispatch, so all I could do was confirm the smoke our texter saw was indeed from a fire.
