FYI: That was a Seahawks flyover

In case you forgot it was home opener night for the Seahawks – that’s what the fighter jet was for. An F-15 from Oregon, according to aviation-watchers on Twitter.

I saw 2 fighter jets. They flew over the ridge which isn’t terribly common.

Yup we saw 2 F-15’s in tight formation just a few hundred feet overhead while we walked our dogs. Pretty amazing!

Awful, scary sound for non-NFL people and animals. Waste of money and bad for environment. Teachers are striking to save special ed teachers and we are paying a ton of money to fly fighter jets during peacetime.  Why is this necessary and how can we stop it from happening the future?

      Oh please.

Oh please yourself those are all valid points.

Well -prepare yourself for more “awful scary sounds” because I think they  have a flyover before every home game-as well as fireworks after every win. That’s just at the stadium-have plenty of neighborhood fireworks too.  But we have the same whining  about noise & cost when the Blue Angels are here-except they fly every day for an hour -not just for a few minutes at home football games.

I’m with Lowmanbeachdrive. Makes me think of the bit on Top Gun Maverick that Bill Maher did in his episode last Friday.

Use it or lose it. Don’t hate/begrudge patriotism for our nation.

Patriotism is when jet fly over.

      LOL. You can’t.

The garbage truck makes more noise than that plane did for 2.5 seconds it took for them to fly over. Let’s not forget we live in the middle of a city and noise happens.

I heard them coming from the west and luckily saw them as the flew directly over my Apt building… My cats didn’t get scared, they just looked at me like I WAS making the noise, then went back to sleep… The Fireworks the last couple of night at 1:30 am is what scares them…

The noise those two F-15s make is the sound of freedom. The quiet after they flew back to their base is the sound of safety and peace that air superiority provides.

Curse the Seahawks and whoever decided flyovers was a good thing…

  • G September 16, 2022 (3:04 pm)

I only heard them, ran outside and never got to see them>>>  Guess I was only 1/2 as lucky as some of you but i’m glad they do what they do! Never mind the haters, they complain about Police, Military and all the 1st responders noise, waste, etc.   UNTIL THEY NEED THEM…   Consider it training and enjoy the sounds of FREEDOM……

Sorry, comment time is over.
