Disregard the incorrect date on the video I never set it on my dashcam

Yikes!  How did the driver not see that person?  Hope they’re doing okay…

After getting hit, the person rolled off the hood and lay still on the ground, I believe they hit their head on the windshield. I watched for a few minutes to make sure people were aware and helping, I wasn’t in a good position to get out and help with kids in the car. The victim was lying still on the ground for a few minutes. They didn’t get run over. I left, then heard sirens coming right after within 5 minutes.

I’d be shocked if there wasn’t a lawsuit over this. You should contact SPD and give them that footage if you haven’t already. Could make all the difference for someone’s pain and suffering claims :)

Hello Matthew,I am the victim. Is there a way to contact you or schedule a call to obtain the unedited footage?

I was just accosted on my bike in a road rage incident on 30th SW near Roxbury (100 yards south of the 76 station) about 45 minutes ago. A black sedan with their high beams on came fast northbound on 30th SW while I was heading southbound. Two large black males inside yelled at me to “get the % $#@ out the road!”. I couldn’t tell the make or model of the car due to their high beams and their speed. I stopped in the road to get their rear license plate but it had no plate lights. They turned around and came after me, so I ran with my bike behind someone’s garage in their back yard. They went south of me, turned around, and headed back North to Roxbury. I reported the incident to a KCSO unit that just happened to be near Explorer Middle School.

John – I hope the driver was well insured, I’m not clear as to why a lawsuit the video footage indicates that the driver was at fault and is thus is responsible for all costs.

Lawsuits can be filed when the damages exceed the limits of the insurance policy.

The pedestrian walk sign is lit up. The pedestrian had the right of way. Driver is at fault.

A very dangerous intersection for pedestrians.  But then, they all are.

K – that is why I said I hope the driver is well insured.

Sorry, comment time is over.
