Gosh, it seems like stolen vehicle crimes are way up in the West Seattle area. Does anyone know if SPD has a task force focused on this?

Lol you think there’s a task force? Even if there was what could they do? Look at what State Patrol said this week, 900 drivers this year have ignored sirens to pull over. Most of those were stolen cars. Look at king county release records, click on a random one. It won’t take you 5 attempts to find armed robbers, first degree assaults, rapists all released from custody before the cops finish the paperwork. Car theft? Every single one of them is out on the street tonight, even if they have dozens of arrests. Just wait till the bridge is open and it’s convenient to come over there again…Footage of the encampment under 1st ave bridge is making its way around the internet and people think it’s a 3rd world country or war zone. Wouldn’t be surprised if that jeep got chopped up right there like the dozens if not hundreds of other cars there.

Yep your right. They did. But after budget cuts it couldn’t continue. I think they got more fed money recently but now there aren’t enough officers. So now when one is located they call the owner and if the owner can’t move it they have it impounded. It is literally out of control. The best thing to do now is go back to the steering wheel club. No electronics just a key.

Sorry, comment time is over.
