Seeing beautiful blows north of Eagle Harbor from Alki. Helicopter following orcas.
We saw them from the Fauntleroy ferry going to Vashon at 4:30pm. Amazing!
Standing on the bluff at Maury Island Marine Park two years ago, I saw a whole flotilla of boats harrying and chasing a pod of Orcas for miles. If we want whales to stick around here, maybe we should stop alerting the entire greater sound to their whereabouts any time a fin pokes above the surface.
