As opposed to the previous normal of workers feeling like they have to show up even if they’re sick? I’ll go with worker safety any day over that.
Yes, there will be rolling closures due to COVID infection/exposure among staff. There are three libraries in West Seattle, so probably shuffling them to provide coverage. The latest from Jeff Duchin from KC Public Health is to expect 15% of employees at any establishment to be out. I have already seen restaurants closed for that very reason. I’m only getting take out for now, and I’m boosted.
There are four libraries – Admiral (WS), Delridge, High Point, Southwest. This is the third consecutive day that one of them has been closed – SW was closed Friday but we didn’t hear about it until we were in the middle of the Highland Park Way outage/road closure so we didn’t publish anything. Will be following up with SPL tomorrow. – TR
Tracy, Thanks correcting my comment to clarify there are four libraries.
Delridge was closed Saturday with a note posted on door though it was supposed to be open.
