WS Blog – the newly installed traffic light on w. marginal – that was a surprise yesterday evening – had the traffic backed up all the way to the 6 way intersection.  what is being done to improve the signaling.  This morning it turned red with nobody around?

I don’t think it was the light’s fault today. I got stuck behind a car that was crushed by a falling tree on the on-ramp to the 1st Ave bridge. No movement for at least 40 minutes until I drove over a barrier to get out. Very surprised I couldn’t find any information about it anywhere. WashDot traffic Twitter just called it a collision blocking the on ramp. I hope the driver is ok. A doctor’s appointment missed and yet another day I regret trying to join the rest of society off the island.

Hopefully with the new crossing light at the cultural center, they can eliminate those useless parking spaces that cause a traffic pinch. The light should facilitate safe crossing. I hope they get it timed/programed so traffic flows well.

Sorry, comment time is over.
