SEEN OFF WEST SEATTLE: Second submarine sighting in 2 days – USS Connecticut, arriving for repairs

For the second consecutive day, water-watchers in west-facing West Seattle saw an inbound submarine – and this time, it was the damaged USS Connecticut (SSN 22), on its way to Bremerton for repairs, 2 1/2 months after hitting an undersea mountain. Thanks to James Borrow for the photo! Here are arrival details from The Kitsap Sun‘s Josh Farley.

“Hi, USAA?  Ya, so I had a fender bender and it was outside of the country.  Will my policy cover submerged accidental damaged?  Ya, the driver lost his license and had a friend drive it to a friends place in Guam.  How much does my policy cover?   I really like the service advisor in Bremerton, WA, can I get it repaired there?  What’s that?  Deductible… Ummm, I’ll have to ask my uncle Sam to help cover that, he’s loaded… Although sometimes we question how he gets all his money.  Ok, ya, I guess I have to just bite the cost and get repairs done.  Ok, thank you, you have a great day too”

Since you’re under water on your loan we’re just going to total it and give you the difference. There should be enough in the check for you to buy a WWII Gato Class.
