WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: Another business window broken

Yet another local business is dealing with the aftermath of a broken window. The photos and report are from Floors Plus Northwest (6959 California SW) co-proprietor Liliana Morales:

We just wanted to let you guys know that unfortunately this past Sunday we had our window broken. Someone threw a brick into the store. Luckily no one was hurt & nothing was stolen.

If you have any information, the SPD incident # is 21-308686.

This is awful.  Floors Plus NW is a great family owned business – they just did our condo floors and we had a really good experience working with them.  So sorry this happened.

Oh No!  I am so sorry for this happening to you all.  Nicest people who are just trying to get by like the rest of us and some nut job does this.  Call the Defund City Council to see if they will help with clean-up and funding.

I heard yelling and looked out my window around 11:30pm Saturday night. A guy was walking south on California yelling & picking up rocks to throw. I could hear the glass breaking as he made his way down the street. The office across from McDonald’s had a broken window too. It was scary.

Hi Cali, Did you call 911? So awful what’s happening lately in our neighborhood.

This ongoing vandelism needs to be stopped, fixing the damages costs everyone money via higher insurance premiums and the cost of products and services.

Why? WHY?  We need our full police force back and then they can haul these types in and then an evaluation on the individual can be performed.  Jail or mental hospital….like we used to do 50 years ago!

From my personal experience people like this get dragged in, thrown in jail for a few days, and then come out angrier and feeling victimized, ready to childishly lash out at the world again at the drop of a hat. I don’t believe that any kind of mental health evaluation happens in jail other than “yeah, this person is out of their mind.”

Agreed, ignoring the problem just makes it worse.

Westside UU Congregation (7141 California at Othello) had a window broken too – somebody must’ve been having “fun” wandering up and down California with rocks.

So sorry, Louis and Liliana. Nobody deserves this and you two least of all. So grateful to know you and your dear family and to have you choose West Seattle for your business. Here’s hoping the brick thrower is done with his destruction for awhile.

The screen on the BECU ATM outside the Admiral Safeway was smashed on Saturday morning when I went to use it.  Sigh.

Went to the Admiral BECU ATM yesterday & looks like someone took a hammer to the screen. Guess he didn’t get the memo: the money is BELOW the screen.

Not nice!  You guys are such a wonderful addition to our community and I am sorry this happened to you

Sorry this happened.Did anyone see Walgreens 16th n Roxbury, front door glass broken n covered with plywood, back pickup window broken n glass everywhere. They haven’t fixed it yet on top of that, no shopping carts or baskets n most aisles are empty of products. Seems like we are in an alternate dystopian criminal universe n I’m in near shock.

Sorry, comment time is over.
