Still visible from Alki as of 11pm. Recommend heading to about Alki & 63rd for a darker area and easier viewing.

still visible in Seattle at 1 AM? How far out of downtown would I need to go?

We saw it from our deck on Whidbey Island at 11pm. It looked like a glowing green cloud. With binoculars you could see stars shining through it. It wasn’t visible from the ferry crossing over to Mukilteo at midnight, however.

Missed it and hoping it will also be visible tonight.

And, a note of farewell to WS and WSB, as I have moved.

Take care of the salmon, orcas, birds, wild roaming turkeys, and each other.

    Thanks for the community here!

We ran upstairs at 10:15pm last night but couldn’t see anything from North Admiral. Very bright lights coming from Interbay.

What is the likelihood of seeing the aurora tonight?

    • WSB October 12, 2021 (8:07 pm)

Aside from the clouds, Alice says her sources say no aurora tonight.

I figured it would be too cloudy even if there was Aurora tonight. I would love to see the northern lights! It has always been a bucket list item for me.
