85% of tests yesterday were positive! While the overall rate is less than 10%. Does this point to a trend that only people who know they are infected are getting tested? If so one could only assume the actual amount of infected people in our region is much higher than the data shows.

I don’t believe the # of test results reported for a given day are directly correlative of the # reported administered that day. For one, test results take at least 24 hours in many cases. But I’ll ask SKCPH.

      • Two Hour Results April 8, 2021 (3:37 pm)

Each time I was tested I had results in a matter of only two hours. At this was at various testing locations with only one testing site taking as long as two days granted this was at the beginning of the pandemic

A household member went to the SWAC site three times in the past several months and each time the results took about 24 hours.

I went to the SWAC and it took almost the whole 72 hours for results. My partner had his done at his DR. office (Kaiser) and at SWAC and they both also took 48-72 hours.

It seems like weekly rates have been more accurate due to reporting delays.

Thanks, although the home page alert is somewhat differently worded:
      “Dearest West Seattle Community,

For the safety of the community and out of precaution we will be closed today (April 6, 2021) starting at 3pm. A family member of Talarico’s staff has tested positive for Covid 19. Talarico’s will be closed until all staff tests negative and the entire establishment has been sanitized.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact us at talaricoswest@gmail.com

Thank you! We will see you in a few days!”

If you’ll be eligible starting April 15, the Pharmaca website allows you to book your appointment for April 15 or later (if they have any available timeslots). Many of the other locations only let you book an appointment if you are currently eligible, even if you’ll be eligible on your appointment day.

Sorry, comment time is over.
