READER REPORT: Crash on West Marginal Way

Thanks to Monika for the photo and report – she heard a “loud bang,” then looked out the window and saw the scene, at West Marginal Way SW and SW Dakota [map]. No SFD dispatch, so apparently no serious injuries. That’s not far from where SDOT crews have been working to repair pavement by a road-spanning railroad track this weekend.

Thankfully doesn’t look bad at all. I wonder what the situation was?

It is not congestion causing delays at the north end of West Marginal Way. It is speed and frequent crashes like this that block the lanes for long periods delaying everyone.

I agree with you Don. Road has become a nightmare at times: increased speed, reckless lane changes, aggression…can get nasty out there

While speed is definitely problem, no one can argue that, I have to say I’ve been commuting the whole time the bridge has been closed and never once run into an accident holding up traffic.  I have, however, sat in a ton of congestion both coming and going depending on the time of day.

    Frequent crashes??? I haven’t noticed.

Sorry, comment time is over.
