FYI: No USPS mail today; bank holiday too

Thanks to Forest for the reminder to remind you that there’s no USPS mail today, and post offices are closed, because of the federal holiday for Columbus Day; it’s a bank holiday, too (though not a mandatory observance). At the local/state level, though, this is Indigenous Peoples’ Day, without closures (aside from the ongoing pandemic-related changes).

I got USPS mail today, unless it was left over from a super late after dark Saturday delivery. I saw USPS trucks on the road today….but perhaps they were delivering for Amazon?

As linked, the USPS website says it was a postal holiday; we went to the Westwood post office before realizing that, and it was closed; and our mail carrier was not seen in the neighborhood today.

I saw quite a few USPS mail trucks out on the road on my way home yesterday.  I think they are package delivery like you see on Sunday’s.

Sorry, comment time is over.
