Avoid 48th/Beach Drive – near Lowman Beach – for a while. SDOT is there to clean up a spill following a collision. SPD is awaiting a tow truck for at least one vehicle, whose driver was taken to the hospital.
I saw it on my way to work this morning. I thought maybe it was a stolen vehicle that someone had crashed onto the curb then got out an ran away from it. Nobody was around it. It was partly on the curb lawn with the back all looking smashed. I did not see a second car at all. I hope all are ok?
I partially saw and heard it happen. Saw a car coming up super fast on the stop sign. Must have lost control. I didn’t hear the normal screeching of tires or a loud crash pop. Different sound, although I do have a tiny marsh inbetween and and houses which could have muffled the sounds. Many people from the party across the street went running.
