Thanks to Bretnie for the tip – orcas, northbound, off Blake Island!
Pretty far on west side of channel Lost side of them at Blakely Rock Bainbridge Island Lots of boats and fog getting in the wayfrom my pictures I have identified T46D, part of the group of transients that have been in the area
Oh cool! Is there any way to find out if they’re headed this way, or do you just keep an eye out and get super lucky? I would love to see them pass by! Thank you for sharing this!

Exciting!! Have they passed or are they en route?! Would love to drive over with my binoculars. ;)
Last I saw them they were way over on the Bainbridge side and North bound
ARGH! I always miss them because they seem to show up when I am at work… So I am really hoping I’ll get to see some while working from home during this mess!
Are they practicing social distancing? Are those whales essential? Do they have their passes? I heard there’s a police boat out there, but it isn’t enforcing anything. Just letting any old marine creature swim right through. My sister’s cousin’s former boss told me.
Ha, so good! Thanks for the laugh Andy ;)
Also, thank you Kersti for looking out for Orcas, and sharing!
And thank you WSB for all you do!
Your sisters cousin wouldn’t that make your cousin too just wondering
They bypassed West Seattle when they found out all of our stores are out of fin sanitizer.
Sorry, comment time is over.
