VIDEO: South Delridge shooter recorded – recognize him?

That security video just made public by Seattle Police shows the shooter in Monday’s South Delridge incident that sent a man to the hospital. Recognize him? Here’s another look:

SPD says the victim was shot during a robbery while he was “delivering an item sold on a secondhand goods website.” If you have a tip about the shooter, call the SPD Robbery Unit at 206-684-5535, or call 911.

Concealing hood, check. Fire red shoes that make him stand out in a crowd, also check. I predict this miscreant will be behind bars shortly. In the meantime, watch yourselves, neighbors. Stupid and dangerous is on the loose.

    Enough with these garbage people.

This is way more aggressive and violent than our typical mail/package thievery. The shooter must have really wanted whatever was in that package. I wonder if somehow he knew what was being delivered or if it was a setup. I hope the victim is healing fast and detectives get this dangerous man off the streets.

Don’t think it is a delivered package theft more like a Craigslist/type to meet to buy or sell exchange, either way what a POS!Can’t tell what that is in his hand in the 2nd picture, 1st pic yes 2nd ???

Looks like a phone. Maybe they were exchanging communication via app.

“Watson, we are not dealing with one of the great criminal minds of our day.  I’m sure Lestrade will be able to deal with him without our assistance.”

This kid will be lucky if the police find him first.

    2nd pic is a phone

Just a reminder for folks that if you’re going to do a local exchange, best do it in a crowded public place. I’ve heard of police stations also being a good spot and sometimes even encouraged by officers themselves. We are so fortunate to have footage of the suspect. Usually that is not the case — especially in alleyways like this.

I do my public exchanges at Seattle public library by the eating area as that is where security hangs out for the library

Why waste the time arresting a violent offender, the city won’t prosecute him anyway.

    • WSB December 3, 2019 (7:20 pm)

This would be a county prosecuting attorney case and yes, they would prosecute.

      • Joe December 3, 2019 (9:05 pm)

        Prosecute, yes. Punish?

Ok I  have to know, what specific cases can you reference where a person shot someone else in the city,  was caught (with video evidence of them possessing the weapon), and then the city declined to prosecute them for shooting someone else? I can only imagine a hypothetical self-defense situation.

This wasn’t a package delivery/ theft. It was a planned meet to buy a Mac Pro from “ Let Go App”. I wish people would meet in public open places and not secluded like this. The victim is so lucky to be alive. The kid with the gun clearly has no experience using a gun which is even scarier. I hope he is caught soon.

They’re coming for you. And they will find you.

You know I know this isn’t as important as the guy getting shot and my heart goes out to him and his family. But, if you want to sell something off of OfferUp or Craigslist, best place to meet is at Starbucks down on 4th. Its where the cops hang out most of the day. Meet inside.

Dude walked past my house a week ago, wearing exactly the same jacket and doorag, and stopping in the street for no apparent reason. I just didn’t have a good gut feeling about him, and wow, just wow.

Perhaps a gang initiation, and the phone in the 2nd pic is to prove he did it?  This makes me so mad, that we cannot just live our lives and make a better place.  He needs to be prosecuted, that would also send a message to whomever he called.  I have faith that he will be caught.

Chuck I hope you are correct with your prediction.  Seattle has a abysmal record on making perpetrators accountable for their crimes.  However this crime is way more serious that hopefully makes the system work.

Almost positive I saw this guy at junction plaza recently, recognize the jacket and the shoes.

    • ACG December 4, 2019 (9:58 pm)

Can’t remember where I heard this, maybe at a BlockWatch meeting- but, I was told shoes are actually a good identifier to remember if you are ever in a situation where you are trying to make mental notes of a suspicious person’s description. People will ditch shirts or hats that they think might identify them, but usually not shoes. Luckily there are photos of this guy to help with identification, but those shoes might be something that catches people’s eyes to pay attention to him.

Cell tower record logs then cross referenced with photo ids.  Doubt he’s smart enough to have a burner phone.  Maybe a few dozen to sort through but not too long.  Hope it won’t take long.

Sorry, comment time is over.
