It seems new crossing signal buttons have been installed at 35th and Avalon, though they are still in their boxes, so they presumably haven’t been wired up yet. Even before the construction, this intersection was extremely unfriendly to pedestrians… even an able bodied adult has barely enough time to cross 35th in the time allotted, if it even bothers to give you a walk signal at all.  The detours and closed sidewalks have been insultingly badly anti-pedestrian, considering they will go to extreme lengths to preserve turn lanes for the damn cars. Still, I very much appreciate the upgrade and look forward to actually being able to cross this street in the future with some rudimentary level of safety.

Sorry, comment time is over.
