What a relief to see your report. Four emergency vehicles just headed down toward Beach Drive. So good to hear that the paddleboarder is ok!
17 units dispatched to report of single paddleboarder possibly in distress. 17.
First it was called out as a “water rescue recon response” – 3 of those units arrived.

As with fires, you don’t know what you have until you get there, and what level of response you will need. Rescue swimmers? Divers? Minutes could make a difference, if they just sent one unit and learned they needed more.-TR

Legal Coast Guard requirement’s for ALL vesel’s. This includes paddleboard’s,canoe’s,kayak’s,jetski’s:life jacket,signaling device(horn,whistle).
