THANKSGIVING 2019: Hall at Fauntleroy to host free dinner for 21st year

(WSB photo from 2017 Hall at Fauntleroy Thanksgiving dinner)

A few people have asked about this, so in case you’re wondering too, we now have confirmation: For the 21st year, The Hall at Fauntleroy will host a free Thanksgiving dinner for anyone and everyone interested in attending. Some go because they can’t afford a full holiday meal otherwise; some go because they crave the community camaraderie; all are welcome. Dinner will be served noon-3 pm on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 28th), at the venue, which is on the south side of historic Fauntleroy Schoolhouse (9131 California SW). Whether you’re going or not, dessert donations are appreciated – you can drop them off at The Hall by noon on Thanksgiving.

I know they collect items to donate to local non-profits. Some years, they have specific things they are looking for. Have they made any requests for this year?

The official announcement I got today only requested dessert donations.

Is this a Dsquared event? If not, do they need kitchen hands? Is there contact info for the event staff?

That’s the parent company of The Hall. Don’t know anything about the staffing situation but The Hall’s website is linked in the story.

@WSB – do you know if they need volunteers to help serve? Or if there are other places around west seattle looking for volunteers on thanksgiving day? Thanks!

Hey neighborhood!! The team will happily accept donations of warm clothing (new socks, sweaters/jackets/coats that are in good shape, etc.) and blankets. DSquared/Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes does cook all of the food off-site at their SoDo commissary, but kitchen help + serving help is always needed!
