And, in a post I received from WSDOT yesterday, 10/09/2019, “Southbound SR 99 tunnel The southbound SR 99 tunnel will fully close for routine maintenance
    from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, to 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, while WSDOT
maintenance crews check the lighting and fire systems, adjust the
cameras and lubricate the jet fans.

Hearing lots of sirens fly by Avalon & Genesse.

Fire alarm at Cottage Grove Commons (5400 block Delridge). No actual fire, most units already canceled from the call per incident log.

SDOT played a trick on early morning commuters today when they displayed a sign on the West Seattle Bridge claiming that the ramp to north bound I-5 was closed and directed commuters to 4th Street. SDOT had closed the Edgar Martinez Dr. north bound ramp to I-5 too.

I had to drive to Ballard this morning, this is my observation: 8:00 Depart Junction. WSB backed up to 35th Ave Intersection. 8:15 Merged to far right lane at cross over location. 8:30 Made it to 99 North exit from bridge. 8:40 Merge into 99N general traffic, also backed up. At bottom of the slope after the merge point traffic ran freely, all the way through the tunnel. 8:50 Arrived at Ballard Destination. It took far longer to get to 99 in a couple miles than to get to the rest of the Ballard. It is clear to me that the bus lane change on 99N has caused demonstrable trouble for no gain elsewhere in the system, especially West Seattle.
