TRAFFIC ALERT: Crash on eastbound West Seattle Bridge

2:02 PM: Thanks for the tips. If you have to head eastbound from the Fauntleroy end of the West Seattle Bridge, wait a while – multi-vehicle crash reported.

2:18 PM: SDOT says the EB bridge is closed at Fauntleroy because of this.

3 PM: Still closed but a tow truck is on scene.

3:26 PM: All clear per SDOT,

When I passed by a few minutes ago, the left westbound lane was also closed. WB traffic was backed up to the delridge exit.

I just made a run from Junction area to Westwood Village. People are driving crazy out there. Too fast, running lights, rolling through stop signs, tailgating, cutting people off. And that’s just on the roads.  Drivers in the Westwood parking lots are just as bad.  Slow down, the place isn’t a racetrack, there are lots of pedestrians, and apparently people think if there is no big red stop sign the painted stop lines in the lot don’t count.  Get it together folks.

I was coming home around 12:30-12:45 pm and there was a stalled vehicle in the EB left lane right by that curve. Cars seemed to be merging into the right lane to get past without any trouble. I hope some one did not speed too fast and hit it. Sounds like this accident may have been a little later than that.

Sorry, comment time is over.
