My neighbor’s car was stolen from our condo garage, 3700 block of California, on Monday 9/16. Sometime between 3 pm and 1:30 am. 2006 teal Acura TSX, license AMR3549. Decal on back: “Any functioning adult 2020.” She asks that you please post on the blog in case anyone sees it.

If you see it, please call 911 (and then let us know!).

Boy, this brings up sad memories. My ‘94  teal Acura GSR was stolen from in front of my house twice within six months in 2002. The second time it was a total loss when discovered (with three other vehicles) somewhere in Renton. I hope your car is recovered and intact!

It sure seems like there have been a lot of stolen cars in our area lately.

We recently recovered our stolen SUV  near riverview (stolen on 9/4).   It was shocking when we spotted it while driving through the area.   The thieves totaled it from joy riding and drug use (found needles).  Yes, there seems to be a lot of car theft in west Seattle but I dont have official stats.   At least we will now get a new car which will hopefully be more secure.  The SUV was an 06 and did not have any window or steering column damage so I have no idea how to took it.

This summer my 2003 Acura was stolen from SW Admiral Way while I was walking my pup on Alki. Two days later I opened my map app up on my IPhone, in order to find directions to a car for sale to replace my Acura, and there was message that said “Parked Car” with coordinates of SW Lander and 37th.  I drove down to that location and there was my parked stolen car!So I learned my phone tracks my car. The only thing I can guess is that because I have connected my IPhone to my digital radio, to listen to my playlist on my phone thru my car radio, I suppose that is what keeps it connected.

Sorry, comment time is over.
