DEVELOPMENT: Construction starting soon at 1250 Alki SW

Almost a year after that house was moved from the future-development site at 1250 Alki SW, the project has yet to begin, with graffiti and weeds marking the rest of the site. But that’s about to change – the developers have just sent official notice that they’ve received their building permit. According to Ming Fung of Vibrant Cities, they expect to start construction within 45 days and “In the meantime, we will move as quickly as possible on the demolition.” The site originally held five houses (another one was moved in January 2018) and was proposed to become a 125-unit apartment building but that has since morphed into a 40-condo project to be called Infinity Shore Club Residences;

    It’s a really cute house, and I’m glad it wasn’t demolished. “Infinity Shore Club Residences” hahahah. Can we be more pretentious?

    Wait, what shops? 😂😂😂

      That keeps catching my eye too but: Coastal and Alki Surf Shop would qualify.

    I’ve noticed that too, over the years in promotional literature for residential properties where they might suggest something totally outlandish such as a property in the Junction being an easy, short walk to Alki. Whether they haven’t done their homework on how far away certain landmarks and business districts area or are stretching reality a bit, it’s kind of comical. —Mike

    WSB: has there been a follow up to the log house that was moved from south AK Junction for an addition to a N Admiral (?) house? This post got me thinking about that and whether the family has finished their project and how it turned out.

      No, don’t know how any of these have turned out, the connection and so on usually takes months past the actual move.

      From the outside, it appears that the log house project has been completed. It now resides by WS High School.

    It would be fun to see posts of the “final resting places” for these moves, like the little green one on California with the porch…that was to be attached to a home in Admiral area. Glad some of these homes are saved.

Sorry, comment time is over.
