6:57 AM: Good morning! For everybody who’s not getting a 4-day weekend, here’s how things look right now.
STADIUM ZONE: Mariners play the A’s at 7:10 pm.
There was a sign on the bridge this morning that said there was a stadium event at 5 and 7:10. I know the Mariners are at 7:10, but what is the 5pm event? Or was that just an error on the sign? I’m working today, so curious how this 5pm event might impact the commute.
I routinely check the Mariners (as noted) and Sounders (they play tomorrow) this time of year, plus the SDOT alerts, which mention only the M’s game

Nothing coming up for WaMu Theater or CenturyLink Field. A mystery!
Thanks! I checked all the usual suspects before I asked and came up empty, and was wondering if it might be a private event that someone here had knowledge of. But it’s most likely a temporary glitch, as mentioned below that the sign now just says 7:10.
Checking Century-Link (which includes WAMU) and T-Mobile Field usually does the trick. I always check those before coming into King Street Station on the Coast Starlight from California. I was surprised once before when I only checked the Mariners’, Sounders’, and Seahawks’ schedules. Never again.

Could be a private event – when Amazon/Starbucks/et al have stadium-size get togethers, it’s not always publicly announced.
BUT more likely it was a glitch. You can use the legend on the city traffic map to see what the DMS messaging is on any given sign at any given time, and the one on the bridge just says STADIUM EVENT 7:10 PM EXPECT DELAYS.
